This is the stuff of re election nightmares – and deservedly so.
Meet Lee Slaughter, a nurse who has spent her working life taking care of others – now suffering in obvious pain and faced with bankruptcy because the Insurance Companies currently protected by Congress refuse to pay for her recovery from two broken hips

Well done, very sober. Effectiveness in these ads is getting the viewer to think, “whoa, that could be me.”
I think this ad does that.

Considering he might be the first Senate Leader to allow his party’s Senators to Filibuster a bill when they are the majority Harry is arguably the weakest Senate Leader in History.

Hoping this gets legs beyond Nevada. How ’bout this, cbl2? You can run, but you can’t win. Not doing bidness the way you’ve been doing it. Funny (sort of). Back in the day, I subscribed to “Give ‘em hell, Harry” updates. I thought he might actually do that. Tried to unsubscribe after a recent update, featuring an upcoming fundraiser for Harry. My computer froze and I had to shut it down to get out of Harry Reid land. Must be a metaphor in there somewhere . . . .
Good ad and this is exactly what progressives should be doing to DLCers. But Harry Reid ain’t gonna change much. The progressive movement should also search for and support a primary challenger to Reid. That would be far more effective in moving Harry off his ass than a t.v. ad.
So, for kicks, I called Harry Reid’s office. Told the staffer that this ad would be up in Nevada, and that it would be very damaging to Harry Reid PERSONALLY if he doesn’t deliver a strong public option. And of course, the only plan we can actually afford is single-payer Medicare for All.
Staffer said that he pass the message on to the Senator.
He can’t hear you. Today He said they were leaning towards talking about the public option. So You better yell alot louder, because his hearing aids must be turned off.
