Those who read FDL and it’s associated blogs know that the CMM (corporate mass media) don’t serve to inform and educate (and I’m being kind when I write that).

And I really can’t remember anyone who has participated in these venues who was happy with the ‘way things are’ on many ‘fronts’.

And it is beyond evident that the ‘change’ promised has not -nor will- occur.

So what can we do to change the ‘way things are’? I suggest that effective communication with our fellow ‘victims’(*G*)is a good start.

To that end , i request you call your Congress critters voicing your support for LPFM. What is LPFM? See here.

And for those who might not have known, Thom Hartmann is now on Free Speech TV (same channel as GRIT-TV !).

Dish is the only satellite channel that carries both LINK-TV and FSTV so if you have Direct, consider strongly switching and making a contribution to those channels that provide OTHER than what the CMM offers; lesser viewership means lower revenues to the CMM. And if you have cable, ask for these channels.

And letting others know of these channels -which could be done via LPFM- is but one example I mean by ‘effective communication’; it’s not telling others what to think but encouraging them to think rather than regurgitate what the CMM spoon feeds them.

So please call your Congress critters and urge them to vote yes on HR1147.
