Brilliant !
Debbie at her finest, is peerless !
Debbie is the rising star in the Dem Party. Brilliant, articulate and poised. I am not sure what her view on the I/P issue is but if she can come at it in a more fair and balanced way than many of her predecessors she is a winnger.
I didn’t like her when she was a shill for Hillary, but Wasserman Schultz has been a great spokesman for BO on Hardball and other shows.
I saw that segment, and I especially liked when she said “he spewed a lot of hate” so therefore, “with all due respect, I think we need to consider the source!” I’ve always liked Debbie Wasserman Schultz, although not always her positions.
I love the way she deliberately said with all due respect, knowing tweaty would challenge her pros as disrespect, and her pointing out, yes, that is all the respect due to this criminal
very very nice
Forget Socialism we tried Bush style capitalism it doesn’t work. The GOP says Socialism I say America wants their tax Dollars back!
$777 billion dollar bailout of our money for the banks that are repossessing our homes.
End Corporate Socialism! John is against big government? John is against National Healthcare?
Fine he and the rich can pay to bail the banks out themselves! John is against National Healthcare.
Fine the VA and the Senate healthcare plan should be expecting a refund check with interest any day now right John?
Or are you and your inbred crew the only ones to get the goodies?
This is all well and good but DWS better get her head out of her butt in regards to helping out Democratic challengers in South Florida. Why she is covering for Rethuglicans, I have no idea.
This is the same sort of crap that’s been used against working class people since the 1870s.
Capital and its agents learned from the European revolutions of 1848 and the rising working class movement in Europe that if it didn’t nip working class unity in the bud the United States would be the next battleground in the fight.
With thousands of European immigrants coming to the US in the mid-19th century came ideas that were rampant in Europe and the capitalists here began the name-calling, calling Germans socialists because they wanted to form unions here.
It’s a tactic that has served them well. If black and white workers would unite around their class interests we wouldn’t be in this situation here. But we saw what happens when a black man stands up and says it’s time for America to end a foreign war and try to unite the races so it can pay attention to its own house; we saw what happened when a white man decided it was time to end a foreign war and try to unite the races around fighting common problems here at home.
When Obama said he was going to change things here so that the middle class could finally realize the American dream I felt a chill. I hope this wasn’t his Riverside Church speech.
I live in New York and I have seen political signs torn down of just one person, not one party. Obama signs disappear in my area which is only 60 miles north of NYC. All the other Democratic party signs remain. The racism that is being displayed is sickening.
I hope we can turn this thing around but I don’t think anything less than a civil war will change things. These are the same arguments that have been used for a century and a half to keep people powerless and in poverty. How much longer are we gonna let this go on?
I caught it too. She was great.
Digby made a great point about this clip yesterday. Matthews lets DeLay (DELAY – why is he even being given airtime? He’s got to be the least credible person to talk about politics on the planet) spew all kinds of disgusting invective, and calls the Republican party under DeLay “brilliant,” but gives D W-S crap for calling DeLay out for being corrupt, which is an actual fact.
Couldn’t agree more. There is very little to recommend the Diaz Balart boys.
