Hmm… Bush won by the skin of Scalia’s teeth, declared he had a mandate, and never again paid any attention to the other branches of government. Yet, it will be the Democrats that overreach after a landslide.

The crap about the census is part of the continuing effort to marginalize and ignore minorities. Don’t let them vote and, if possible, don’t even count them. Maybe Armey will allow them to count at 3/5 of a person; the Originalist Supreme Court would probably back that up.

For once, I have few doubts about the Democrats prospects of competing NoiceMachine for NoiseMachine with the Republicans, although The Dems in Congress will always look for a way to futz it up.

This is the end of the beginning of efforts to dismiss, deride, and diminish the next Democratic President. I’m betting TeamObama has the grit to smack back.

Obama has shown recently a willingness to stand up to Fox News and that’s a good sign.

Been wanting to ask this for some time, after many mornings watchin Joe. Notice the eyes and the bulging forehead. Does he have a touch of Downs Syndrome. The word “cretin” occurred to me, not as a put down, but as a medical assessment. Maybe “stupid” is sufficient.

Case in point. Joe made another of his recurring attempts at humor, at Mika’s expense [ever notice how he loves to suggest that she get on her knee?], WHILE HER FATHER WAS SITTING THERE. Zbigniew sliced his throat, but Joe was too dense to realize it: “Yes, Joe, your intelligence has definitely rubbed off on her.”

John Dryden defined the best satire as cutting someone’s throat so finely that he does not realize it until he attempts to turn his head.
