Once again Dick lives down to his name. The man who, after 9/11, said we’d have to walk on the dark side…a prospect it seems he relished…has now at the 11th hour endorsed McCain. The kiss of betrayal. Oh, you mock our BushCo administration? Well, how about an endorsement right at the end, ol’ sport?

Has there ever been in our history a more reptilian politician who uses the cold-blooded calculus of power even to kick an ol’ man when he’s down? But what would we expect from someone who shoots an ol’ guy in the face. Methinks there’s more to that story than we’ll ever hear.

The brutish Cheney will be remembered for that parka at the funeral and his hunting prowess. For torture and undisclosed locations. For Halliburton and Enron economics.

For honor? Never.
