This Resolution Is From the American Progressive Alliance, and forthwith, to be known as the “Guns or Butter” Resolution.

It’s a given that I like to tease, agitate, aggravate, and even provoke on occasion, when it comes to political discourse, but ‘crafting’ a political agenda for the American Progressive Alliance, can and will be fun.

And yet, this American Progressive Alliance does not exist but can easily be created, maintained, and perpetuated from here in the Sonoran Desert. But if so, here is what I can envision and actualize, should the Democrats feel it necessary to reject the consequence that is inherently found when a political behavior is focused on timidity and from the ongoing tiredness for rejecting History, and when this History is viewed from the perspective of the stellar Legacy of both FDR and LBJ. To wit, our History is this nexus and fulcrum for creating tomorrow’s Future.

First, would be the notion that the enumerated “values” in this Resolution would have to be implemented by Congress and signed into the law by the Oval Office, and completed no later that May 1, 2010.

Secondly, there would be an immediate suspension, cessation, or “freeze” of all campaign donations delivered to potential candidates and current members of Congress that are membership-affiliated with the Democratic Party, or until this Agenda is completed by May 1, 2010.

Therefore, what does this Agenda include?

1. Health Care will include a provision in which the anti-abortion perspective is adamantly rejected once and for all times sake, and yet, pre-natal health care for ALL expectant mothers will have their medical care delivered via Medicare, and regardless of age and regardless of economic circumstance. Thus, the Republican crafted Hyde Amendment is jettisoned and placed into the dustbin of history.

2. Enact EFCA and to be included into NAFTA and subsequently, into all international trade agreements with the understanding that foreign governments own and manage all institutional elements of organized labor, either overtly or covertly.

3. Military Base Hospitals will be transferred to the VA’s Medical and Hospital Systemic. In addition, the approximate and annualized amount of $50 billion will be transferred from the Pentagon’s budget in order to defray the cost of this transfer of the Military Base Hospital Systemic and with the overage utilized to defray ongoing efforts to reduce the costs of Universal Health Care. And over a 10-year period, this amount will accrue to over $500 billion, and thusly, reducing our taxpayer burden immensely.

Now, feel free to add what you feel is important with respect to your "unmet needs".

(Note: Ridiculous ideas are not permitted. Otherwise you will be called out and done on the premise that the Fourth Estate was ‘criminally stupid’ for being the inconic cheerleaders for Bush’s War of Choice, and thusly, deserving of spending two years in prison, and each, at a prison of their choice. :-))
