Big PhRMA is scared of the Obama health plan:
The nation’s largest pharmaceutical lobbying group is preparing a multimillion-dollar public relations campaign to tout the importance of free-market health care and undercut an expected push by the Obama administration for price controls of prescription drugs.
The effort, which will include a national television commercial scheduled to begin airing next week, is the first salvo in what likely will be a huge battle over health care reform during the Obama presidency.

now, if there were a fairness doctrine that included paid advertising when directed at political agenda, these health industries would be forced to air the oposing point of view
bing, no propaganda from them
this is what I was waiting for. I wanted to see what the drug companies and others from the medical industry were preparing to do when the democrats got into office and started trying to push for universal or near universal healthcare.
One only needs to make a reciprocal ad that shows how much Big Pharma has spent on marketing, lobbying and political donations, and how much Big Pharma has paid out in dividends, executive compensation to show exactly how much margin Big Pharma could simply cut out of the cost of drugs.
Fairness doctrine might be nice, but I’ll bet if produced well and spread virally over the internet, Pharma would be set back on its heels.
