Whoa. Thanks for posting this Boo.
You’re very welcome.
Lightning fast posting, Boo!
Politico has the following
(AP) _ Attorney General Michael Mukasey has collapsed during a speech and is being taken to a hospital.
Associate Attorney General Kevin O’Connor says Mukasey began shaking during a speech to the Federalist Society and collapsed. He did not immediately regain consciousness.
I opened DIGG and recommended.
Thanks Boo. Your post was first I heard of this.
scout
(I don’t know how to show DIGG in blue so it can be clicked)
He was defending Bush’s antiterrorism methods before the annual Federalists Society (Republicans). He reputedly spent his life in the field of law, yet contributed to the destruction of the Rule of Law in his old age.
Literally torn apart by the war in his soul?
Much appreciated.
Only if you’re interested, putting anything in “blue,” is just inserting a link. These directions Inserting a link imho make it sound tougher than it is, but at least it gives you a starting point. FDL provides a link dialogue box at the top of each comment box. It’s the second icon from the right.
acquarius74, after you post the Digg, you see a page that says Success! Highlight the URL of that page and click on Copy. Then, when you go to the comments in FDL, type the word that you want to link to the Digg page (which is often the word Digg); highlight that word; then click on the little “chain link” symbol next to the spell check at the top of the FDL comment box. A new box will open, in which you place your cursor and click on “paste.” Then click on the “OK” button on that box, and your Digg link will be imbedded in the word or words you highlighted in the comment box. You can use “Preview” to see how it will look in the published comment—it will be blue.
no ill wishes toward Mr, Mukasey intended, I hope he has a full and speedy recovery. but I cannot help but note that any effort at “defending the Bush administration’s anti-terrorism policies” might cause just about anyone to collapse.
Thanks for the link, Boo. I scanned and will go back to study all that info. I’m fairly new to fdl, and not the greatest computer whiz kid!
I wish the AG a full recovery to health.
But this is just hinky. Something Shakespeare would write.
Thank you, neurophius, for the clear instructions. I’m printing them out for study and hopefully use later.
As for your comment at #9, you’re kinder than I. My first thought upon reading Boo’s diary here was: “Justice, Mukasey”.
Will America ever regain our solid foundation fully based on our Constitution, Bill of Rights and Rule of Law?? Sorry, but I can’t forgive those who have deliberately and criminally denied their oath of office and established the rule of men and not our laws.
OT – Cat Stevens (now Yusuf) being interviewed on PBS on the Tavis Smiley show. It’s great!
what is frightening is the text of mukasey’s speach, he is giving a speach in front of the depraved “federalist society” and he is giving them praise for their work and the hundreds of federalist judges they helped get into positions.
mukasey points out to them that even though bush is leaving office his footprint of federalist judges will be the rule of law for decades at least
our kids are in tons of trouble
perris, where can I find the text of Mukasey’s speech?
. . . praising Bush and them for ensuring injustice for decades to come by judges who use the law to subjugate and control the masses and guarantee power to the corrupters of the law.
one step back in the thought processes = law professors like John Yoo; and the law professors who produced the likes of him and David Addington.
My thoughts are too gloomy this morning. I must concentrate on the good ones like Patrick Fitzgerald, Marjorie Cohn, Bruce Fein and Prof. Sandes.

Thanks for the link, bluebutterfly. That’s sone speech! Sounds to me more like The Attorney for the Defense in a case against this administration and its legal advisors.
Maybe that bolt that struck him down knocked some sense into him. I can always hope, I guess.
I see Perris has a new diary up here on Mukasey’s speech.
