From the never-been-right-ever Bill Kristol come these fine words of wisdumb:
"One last thing: Bush should consider pardoning–and should at least be vociferously praising–everyone who served in good faith in the war on terror
. . .
The CIA agents who waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, and the NSA officials who listened in on phone calls from Pakistan, should not have to worry about legal bills or public defamation. In fact, Bush might want to give some of these public servants the Medal of Freedom at the same time he bestows the honor on Generals Petraeus and Odierno. They deserve it."
Yes, in the immoral words of William "the Bloody" Kristol, we should be hailing as heroes the people who did not have the courage to stand up against this tyranny that is George W. Bush, and his company of traitors.
Bill Kristol is not suggesting Medals of Freedom for the few, the proud, and the dedicated who did fight to defend our Constitution, and to defend our freedoms. It is they who are our heroes, the ones who dared to say,"No."

Bill Kristol should go fuck himself.
With his head… the one on top of his shoulder!
Facts not in evidence.
didn’t Gail Collins at NYT just call for shrub/cheney’s immediate resignation as a Thanksgiving gift to the nation?

i hope he can not pardon himself because he should be first in line for indictment
WHY does this man still have a platform? (And is there a trap door….?) Thanks Elliott. I’m enjoying your diaries v. much.

Bill Kristol is the reason YouTube was invented.
Mmmm, rhubarb.
intentionally aiding a rogue power-abusing president in breaking the law is not acting in good faith…
Sideways with a baseball bat.
Kristol, never fucking right, ever, ever, ever.

I generally find it useful to look at what Kristol advises and then do the exact opposite. Almost invariably turns out to be the right thing.
Frankly, at this point, I think Congress needs to do away with the Medal of Freedom, or should I saw, the Medal of Giving This Guy a Medal Because He Knows Where All The F*cking Bodies Are Buried.
3 words:
Dan
Quayle’s
Speechwriter
He’s like George Costanza in the Seinfeld episode when he acted against his every instinct and became a winner.
Kristol is such a loser and he’s the reason why I have less respect for John Stewart. Stewart has that shiny faced fascist on so often and strokes his noodle with kid gloves so often it sickens.
-G
Since he is a comedian and not an actual reporter, I cut Stewart a lot of slack. Besides, he is right about most stuff and pretty damned funny.
His latest preventive war vis a bis Bush doctrine is against the Somali pirates. Apparently his parents never got him the game of “Stratego” to get it out of his system.
The constant urging for war (any war) with a smiling smirk on his face apparently escaped his interview screener at the Times. I’ll bet they would have caught it at Bellevue….
I should add that his viewers are better informed about the news and current events than viewers of Fox, MSNBC, or CNN according to one survey.
Actually, it is quite obvious that his parents dropped him on his head at least twice too often and severely abused him as a child.
I still love Stewart, but that something something he has with Kristol galls me to no end.
He will really insult puds like Tucker and Matthews but somehow Kristol never gets the indignant slap.
John’s weak spot is for that sack of shit.
-G
I agree with you DrDick — I think that Jon has him on just to humiliate him in front of a Progressive audience. That said, Happy December 1, y’all!
More pie.
-G
Err, maybe for Kristol to do himself in…
You’re right, Chris. If he blows him out in one visit, never again will he get to chip away at the ugly. I love that Jon has him sliced up in shifts.
Not for another hour and a half here in the northern Rockies. But it is a very good day – payday!
Newt, DrD,
I was SO industrious this weekend: family, dinner for 9, fruitcakes with awesome cherries and booze, gravy, tree and decorating.
Time for me to head out. I haz students to abuse tomorrow. Only one more week until finals (the grand guignol of student abuse).
Wow! I’m impressed. I fixed tandoori turkey legs for myself (had a cold all week).
if ever there were an example of rectal moraltude…
Righteous, Ellie. Thank you.
Holy smoke,
just two for us as well.
What a detestable thing for KKKristol to write!!!
My friends tell me that truly, “what goes around comes around” or, a special place in in hell, for him.
I wonder what kind of concern troll shit he is going to have to come up with when his buddies get throw out on their asses January twentieth?
And frankly, Kristol is just as guilty as the guy who strapped Khalid to the board.
Yes
Hey busted
I’m sure it will be along the lines of “As long as Obama governs from the ‘middle’ (read, like a Republican), we will give him his way.”
‘Cause this is a Center-Right country, don’t’cha know…
You betcha!
Hey!
Hi Chris! Just sneaking in for a few. I’ve got an out of town (out of country, actually) guest here this week. He’s jet-lagged and asleep, and I’m wired…
He’s the origin of human feces.

Eureka Springs is up at the Mothership!
Late Late Nite FDL: BuriedFed
Hiya LL,
I’ve had so much family here this weekend, and had to work Friday as well. Because of that, my darling son, Jack, cooked turkey, stuffing and eveything else. Ms. CE did green beans, pumpkin pie and we did cranberry trifle together. A MOST wonderful holiday and I’m so pleased.
I wonder what would it take to summon the political will to get prosecute people? What if we had video tape of someone who clearly wasn’t supposed to be tortured being tortured? And then we had documents from people at the highest levels of the government authorizing that torture?
What would it take to move forward with any prosecution? Who could do it?
Is there a group that could have the will? Amnesty International?
I’m sure that at the end Himmler felt much the same way as Kristol.
Nixon resigned Ford pardoned him
Bush pardond Cheney and all perps with a blanket..Cheney pardons Bush. The final act of depotism.
Himmler suffered consequences.
That’s great, Chris! So glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving
Hey Christine! So glad that your holiday was so great!
LL! Great minds think alike…. Hope your holiday was great as well!
Hey sophie! Thank you, mine was really good — hope yours was as well. Moving upstairs to ES’s post for a few
