The New York Times finally jumps on yesterday’s blogosphere bandwagon to chime in that David Gregory is the likely host of Meet the Press.
And, according to the Times article, it’s all about the Today Show.
Yep, that’s right. The long-standing gold standard of Sunday morning gasbaggery has been relegated to stepping stone to the Today Show.
And ol’ twinkle toes is being catered to bigtime lest he leap to ABC GMA.
Which leaves me with questions:
The Today Show is a news show? Since when is infotainment "news"?
And, why not Lester Holt?

Why not Al Roker?
We need to play the YouTube of David Gregory dancing next to Rappin’ Rove relentlessly.
David loves to dance…Imus used to relentlessly show him in a dance moment on the Today Show. Let him go host Dancin’ with the Stars. Maybe he can get Sarah and Todd as special guests….
aAHAHAHAHAHA
‘cept this is prolly what will happen.
accompanied by his ridiculous statements on Maher about Bush being “an intelligent guy”
… and all along I knew it was a skirmish between the NBC suits, but dear god, afraid of losing a David Gregory ?!?!? ’nuff said
NBC operating in the shallow end of the gene pool these days.
But if David Gregory leaves NBC, the network will lose another reason for not watching it.
Can’t understand why NBC would choose their weakest news person. Gregory is absolutely awful and comes across as whiny and uninformed.
NBC has a brilliant woman. If they choose to use seniority rather than smarts, they’ll lose. Any network would kill for Rachel.
