Why, Oh Why would anyone want to leave the lovely Prairie Chapel Ranch?!
Bad memories from previous pretzel infestation?
No more brush to cut?
Too hot to bike or jog, when himself finally lost all the fans the service had turned on him to keep his lil’ face unsullied by sweat beads?
Arbustid’s bored and needs a bit more background noise to help sooth his jingle-janglin’ nerves?
A scary token horse broke through a security fence and trotted by within sight of the chapel?
Barney refuses to give up his nightlife?
Local BarBQHaus no longer imports live lobsters for free delivery to the chapel?
Formerly friendly local Pronghorn resents being accused of eating the hay bale-’n playing on picturesque scuzzy wagon, presser backdrop which, sadly, has fallen into disrepair?
Neighbors object to the sagging local economy based on free, flat-busted-budget keychains?
Crawford citizens evicted the free-loadin’ fella camped in the kitchen?

Hey folks.
Here I am, a diary writer suggesting you just skip my current scribble for awhile. I hope things will pick up enough that it might be appropriate at some point, but I’m not terribly optimistic.
It’s just totally inappropriate in my own mind to deal with frivolity and snark of this type with such dismal economic and international news pouring in through the transom. In self defense, I have been removed from daily news more than I’d like, on a regular basis lately. Saying upcoming events and report revelations are unexpected is an understatement
I respect you guys. When you want a playful, not-very-thoughtful interlude, go ahead and read it – it’s not terribly threatening.
In the the meantime, I find it hard to laugh myself. But then I had my head down dealing with necessary chores and important responsibilities around our homestead, so I should have had the good sense not to try to multitask without first reading week-end reports and the like.
One happy thought: reading through all that’s going on at the Lake is daunting, to say the least! Hooray for that. And deep thanks for all involved. Powerful minds and caring hearts are hard at work at this dear Lake. Thank you all.
Dear (((Mods))),
Please feel free to pull this diary, and re-insert it into the lineup if and as you feel it appropriate.
Thanks. – Adie
((( Adie )))
Tough times don’t last, tough people do !
My reason is: “Laura & George wanted to move someplace Cindy Sheehan’s not likely to visit”
My reason is: Laura wants to be closer to her divorce attorney, and it will be easier to get rid of Dumbya in town and she doesn’t have to put up with the flies and all the manure.
Adie, on a serious note, sometimes in the midst of all the bad news we need to take a deep breath and find something to laugh about. This hits the spot. Please do not apologize for writing it – we all need it right about now. If it wasn’t for laughter at times like these, none of us would be able to make it through. Thank you for your contribution here.
