Addendum amidst what CNN now calls “All Out War” between Israel and what its leadership apparently regards as its closest enemies.

I commend Jane and FDL for luring otherwise-firebreathing folks into engaging in civil discourse on Middle East issues.

I have no favorites either way in this mess of a centuries-long conflict, yet current events make me sick at heart for all concerned.

I am suspicious at the moment. Why the “making nice” just now by some, just as all HEQQ breaks loose in other parts of the world?

Sorry to be vague. I have no idea where all this action reported by CNN and not many others is heading.

I remain absolutely livid that the US gov’t did not do more to avoid the carnage some surely knew was imminent.

Dick Cheney vaguely wonders why he’s not more popular. This week is the first time I recall him pondering that particular thought in public.

Gee, Dick. We had a world going here, and then you came along with your far-reaching personal agenda. Did even YOU have any idea how far-reaching and how awful the consequences of what you have unleashed?

Finally: Yes, Barack Obama. I do indeed think you saw it coming, and I commend you and your family for accepting the challenge. We love you all for that, and we wish you well. Thank heaven you were able to say goodbye to your grandmother, and to take a short “vacation” before….
