all we need is HR676 — Medicare for ALL.

No private HMOs or insurance companies — and no job-based coverage at all are either desired or needed. They have all failed us.

We need what all other civilized countries have — Public and Universal National Health Care.

We agree with President Obama that in reforming our health care system, we need to build on what works. Those who like their coverage should keep it. Those who don’t, should have a choice of private insurance plans or a high quality public health insurance plan. A public health insurance plan would operate more cost-effectively and drive quality improvements. This would force efficiencies and innovation in private insurance coverage. We need an American solution in which all of us–individuals, employers and government–share responsibility for guaranteeing quality, affordable health care we can all count on.

why?

do you have any analysis that supports this approach over hr676?

” President Obama agreed to drop the provision from the recovery package. However, he has reinserted it into his FY 2010 budget. On p. 127, there is a provision to “expand availability of family planning services under Medicaid,” which is estimated to save the government $190 million over 10 years. Here are statements from Planned Parenthood and NFPRHA. “
