Arliss Spectre announced support for a public option today, which certainly will help. Considering he doesn’t do anything based on principle, he must be worried about Sestak jumping in.

Oh, and another bit of good news today, Harold Koh is confirmed:
http://thecable.foreignpolicy......_confirmed

Hell yeah, boiz!

I’m not an admirer of Sen. Rockefeller on FISA, but I couldn’t agree more on this:

On Thursday, Rockefeller admitted he expects little bipartisan support.

“There is a very small chance any Republicans will vote for this health-care plan. They were against Medicare and Medicaid [created in the 1960s]. They voted against children’s health insurance.

“We have a moral choice. This is a classic case of the good guys versus the bad guys. I know it is not political for me to say that,” Rockefeller added.

“But do you want to be non-partisan and get nothing? Or do you want to be partisan and end up with a good health- care plan? That is the choice.”

Healthcare reform is the president’s highest domestic priority.
The only question is which bill will achieve his goals of cost-cutting, insuring more people and improving care quality and get the votes to pass.

Wait, watch closely, contribute and when it’s clear there will be a coalescing around THE bill.

Very important to distribute the message. We should announce state blog involvement when it happens. I think Turn Maine Blue is already up and running on the House Whip.

State blogs are very important in reaching constituents of waverers. Please make an effort to engage your local and state-based blogs in this fight!
