i love bernie sanders! and i love how he frames the debate: single payer is the way to go and the public option is the compromise.

Here’s something I wish people like Sanders would point out when they talk about how much money is being spent lobbying by the health insurance companies; something to the effect of:

The health insurance companies are spending a million Dollars a day lobbying politicians in Washington. A MILLION DOLLARS a day. That’s a million Dollars that’s flooding out everyday to something other than providing the health insurance coverage you’re paying for. That’s your money they’re spending to do that. These health insurance companies are spending your money to lobby politicians, so they can keep raising your premiums and denying your claims.

I have to believe that might put some perspective on a multitude of interrelated issues.

That million a day is money NOT used to provide benefits for their clients. Health ins. companies exist to deny coverage to those who have paid for it & prohibit those with pre-existing conditions from getting health insurance. Their profits fill the cemetaries. It’s legalized murder.

Isn’t that what I said?
