What a moving story. Thank you for sharing it here.
I hope we will soon have a federal administration that respects patients’ rights to medicine that eases their pain.
We could all use that sometime in our lives.

Humanity is not something I expect to see from another Republican administration. Sending CEO’s billions of our tax dollars so they can bask in the tropics while honest, hard working Americans suffer is the Bush Legacy.
The evidence is clear and concise and available to any who wish to see. Medical marijuana is a real and viable treatment for many people who are living in pain. Bush’s America would see people suffer needlessly while keeping the ‘Reefer Madness’ myth alive. It’s time to turn the page on the federal government’s ego-driven cowboy drug policies.
News accounts about Mexican drug lords invading our national forests to grow pot just reinforces the need to decriminalize it. Take away the economics of selling pot and you take away the criminal element trying to corner the market.
Crack, meth, heroin are harmful chemicals and should be looked at with a different set of rules than marijuana. They are constructed to be addictive, to thrive in a black market. Marijuana is in a category all its own. Anyone can grow it, there is no processing, no harmful chemicals to contaminate the environment and certainly no addictive qualities.
The ghost of Harry Ainslinger needs to be exorcised from this debate.

Why is the federal government sticking its nose into medical matters that do not concern it? This is horrible.
