Pat Grassley, grandson of Senator Chuck Grassley, voted for an Iowa law that provided money to support development of end-of-life educational materials and establish a public education program to help people make those decisions. This is the very idea that Senator Chuck used to frighten his senior citizens. The bill passed with a large bipartisan majority, and was signed into law last year.
Senator Chuck, previously best known for wrecking the Bankruptcy Code for the benefit of the likes of Visa, Bank of America and Ford, will be 76 next month, well into the prime age for the Death Panels. On the other hand, he has been very productive in stopping real reform in any area of American law, so he could probably defend himself pretty well, and I’m sure big pharma and big health insurance will provide him with all sorts of lawyers.
Michele Bachman’s son joined Teach for America, an AmeriCorps project, volunteering to be brain-washed into socialism and break whatever passes for a mother’s heart in Bachman.
It looks like at least some of these conservatives aren’t so good at passing on their family values in their own families, thus proving that the apple can fall far from the tree when the tree reaches a certain height of crazy.

It’s time for Grassley to go. He knows he’s lying but continues on, misleading his constituents and many Americans. I hope the MSM, with the exception of Fuchs Noose, airs this information. I vote for ol’ Chuck to be first in facing the “death panel” that his grandson voted in favor of.

Why do the Republicans accuse the Democrats of having these so called death panels when the Republicans and their Insurance company clients have more to profit from these death panels and the so called end of life counseling.
Join us and we together shall put economic pressure on the companies that give money to conservatives in both the Democratic and Republiklan party and we will get the progressive legislation that we demand.

That’s a good thought but for far too long the progressives have been hell bent on crushing anyone who doesn’t think exactly along party lines.
Let’s just say they are not good bridge builders during a time when bridges would come in handy.

Why do republicans lie through their teeth? Give us an example of good faith negotiation when a democrat has had a good idea for ALL americans. It’s hard to throw a rope over to someone who SAYS they’ll catch it, and then don’t.

Besides, Republicans know that “death panels” is what they would do if they were in charge, so they just assume everyone would even if it’s not actually in any of the bills.

Actually I was referring to the progressives failure to firm up support among the Dems, not the Republicans. I think progressives are too militant for their own good. They drive away support.
How can you say that? We’ve done nothing but compromise, time after time. We want a national Single-payer plan, but we’re settling for trying to get a very watered-down gift to corporate America that has a small public option.
On almost every issue we’re told that we’re too extreme and America isn’t ready for it yet, so we accept baby steps or even steps backward.
What’s worse is that the compromises completely ruin an idea, but then we get blamed because our ideas don’t work.
That’s like inventing the belt, but in a Republican compromise leaving off the buckle – then everyone complains that it doesn’t work.

On the other hand, I doubt Senator Chuck talks to his grandson about healthcare reform unless a campaign contribution is involved.

Yes, progressives are too extreme. Why are we so doctrinaire about maintaining that 2 + 2 must equal 4? Why can’t we reach out to others so that we can all unite around programs that don’t work? Let us not make the real the enemy of the fictitious. This sounds like a great plan to run a country into the ground, oh wait, it already has.
Wow, just noticed things are really coming to a halt for Obama. Approval ratings are dropping faster that Bush’s when Bush was in his 6th year. Obama is putting so much political capital into this one measure that if this fails, he just may be retiring as president in 2012.
Also, it is not helping your health care cause when people like Reid are out there calling people who are against this bill “evil-mongers”. Between Reid, Pelosi, and Obama we may very well see the fall of the Dem’s yet again.

The demagoguery being employed by HC reform opponents is contemptible.
But It gives me great joy to know the next generation of Bachman’s and Grassley are progressives or so it would seem.

Individuals such as Newt, Palin, Rush ORielly or Glenn Hannity is one over the top thing.
But an active Legislator as Grassly making these statements is completely irresponsable.
Perhaps there should be a congressional mental health act that provides and pays for sanity evaluations and treatment.
And how about a congressional removal panel that can remove dihonet public officials.
If you’re talking about Blue Dogs in the house, I’ve got news for you. My rep is a Blue Dog — he’s not a democrat at all. He’s a republican who called himself a democrat in order to get elected (that’s all it takes in Chatham Co. GA).
It was the only way he could get elected, and yes he will continue to get elected because the democrats down here who are smart enough to understand the scam are not in the majority. Those that are, are too busy trying to put “food on their families” to make much sense of what’s goin on.
