Why isn’t he going? Because his son, George Walker "Bushie" Bush is going. If Bushie speaks at tomorrow’s events, I’m going to hurl.
Just in case you were wondering, George H. W. Bush is low rentBy: BargainCountertenor Friday August 28, 2009 9:56 am |

Stay classy, GHW Bush. Just like your boy, Duhbyuh…
What do you want? They are gracing the proceedings with one Bush, the Kennedys should feel honored. There simply isn’t anything anyone on the left can do to merit a two Bush (league) salute. In actuality, it would be far more appropriate if the entire Bush clan were to stay as far away from the proceedings as possible.
I don’t wanna see that smirking smarmy son of a bitch especially since the Kennedy dynasty did, for all their human faults, provide this country with top notch people who cared about others and who had enough class to at least act as if they were above sordid monetary concerns not like the Bush clan who would sell themselves in a minute.
Maybe we’ll get lucky and Gabriel’s horn will blow at Walker Point for old Poppy.
Frankly, I’d rather Poppy was there than Bushie.
Perhaps Poppie and Barbara just can’t stand being in the same room as their worthless idiot son?
While it would be nice of Poppy to show up, there’s nothing that demands his presence. Teddy kennedy was neither a head of state nor other than a deeply flawed human. If an 85 year-old former president hasn’t earned the right to decide how he spends his time, who has?
Yes, for example, he jumped out of a plane to celebrate his 85th birthday back on June 12 so obviously he wasn’t up for the trip.

Well that and that he was the nation’s premiere Senator for the last few decades.
Hugh, you may like Kennedy’s work, and I may like Kennedy’s work, but nothing AT ALL compels Bush to show more respect than he feels he wishes to show. I don’t care for Bush’s politics, but he served the country longer and achieved office that Kennedy’s personal flaws precluded.
I don’t want GHW Bush anywhere near any living Kennedy.
I’m watching Dumbya at the funeral mass right now — he looks very uncomfortable, blew the Prez off, didn’t make much eye contact — Hillary’s yacking it up with Laura and Dumbya’s stuck in between them — priceless!
Bush 41 was a loser — he’s just proving it by passing on the funeral.
