I don’t understand what’s going on just yet

The Bush administration is for some reason becomming concerned about the envirnment for the first time in their 8 years.(thanks for small favors)

It is surprising to me they would make this decision at just the right moment that would undermine the credibility of McCain’s running mate.

First, they refuse to consider Palin as trustworthy as the other candidates for this election and now they deny her efforts to keep endangered species off that list

My link above is from think progress;

Bush administration ignores Palin’s objections, puts beluga whale on endangered species list.» Yesterday, the Bush administration placed beluga whales that live in Cook Inlet in Alaska on the endangered species list, rejecting Gov. Sarah Palin’s (R-AK) efforts “against increased protection.” During the 1990s, these whales declined by almost 50 percent, and have struggled to recover. In an August 2007 written statement, Palin said she was “concerned” that listing the species as endangered would “unnecessary,” doing “serious long-term damage to the vibrant economy of the Cook Inlet area.”

I do believe this administration is NOT happy with McCain’s choice for vice president
