Hey, Jim DeMint and Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, whaddya think of this?
The coup that can’t shoot straight has done it again, as journalist Belén Fernández reports today on Narco News: when military and police troops invaded the studios of Channel 36 on September 28, stealing its transmitters, antennas and other equipment, they forgot to remove the surveillance cameras.
And, yes, the cameras were rolling. Ooooops! Check it out. (H/T to The Field.)

I guess that’s what you do after a coup…hire lobbyists!
Studies are showing that employing lobbyists is more effective if they start work prior to the actual coup.
Zelaya, for his part, has pushed the interim government to using these kinds of tactics. He’s the one that wants to get back into power so badly. And for what? For three months? Then what? I’m sure he’ll just hand back his power to whoever they elect in November, elections which, unless Zelaya is reinstalled, the world will refuse to recognise.
Any unrest in Honduras is a great thing for Zelaya, because he’s not the one who has to respond. He only has to wait until enough people riot or get killed to take advantage of the people’s anger. So yes, the interim government is playing intelligence games, but Zelaya surely is playing his too, and to me he has already proven to be the less democratic and more douche-baggy of the two. They kicked him out according to their constitution, Hondurans were going to have elections in November, what the hell was the problem? Only Zelaya wanting to return and the world’s fear of condoning a ‘coup’
