Just Say Now launched the Campus Challenge yesterday, with Students For Sensible Drug Policy chapters competing to see which one can gather the most signatures for the petition asking President Obama to end the war on marijuana. Funeral For a Friend |
| By: Jane Hamsher Sunday July 11, 2010 10:00 am |
In the early blogspot days of FDL, a commenter who went by the name of Gosprey reached out to me and we became good friends. His name was John Phillips Britton, and over the years he became very important in the development of my thinking. He helped me to understand how the world of politics [...]

Liveblog of House Financial Services committee meeting on executive compensation, which is turning into a showdown on Fannie and Freddie (on CSPAN 1 now, also available online here). Members’ campaign contributions from FIRE interests in 2009 (Finance, Insurance and Real Estate), the percentage it represents of money they raised & rank if they rank in [...]
Please Light a Candle for Beckham |
| By: Jane Hamsher Thursday January 21, 2010 12:44 pm |
TBogg and I became friends in the paleo days of the blogosphere when we bonded over our dogs. His basset hounds have always been the soul of his blog in the way that Kobe and the girls will always be the soul of FDL. Beckham, his adventures, his photos and his soulful wit have made [...]
And Now For Something Completely Non-Political |
| By: Jane Hamsher Monday October 19, 2009 5:56 pm |
On Saturday, along with egregious and Mary Jane Muckletone (my best friend from high school) I brought Kobe’s ashes back to the house. Bye Bye, Michael Jackson |
| By: Jane Hamsher Friday June 26, 2009 4:11 pm |
I’m sure Michael Jackson is happy he’s not around to see all the psychobabble being dished up about his life.
