The fear pervading the print industry right now is understandable; media organizations are hemorrhaging money; ad sales are anemic; online revenues are inadequate and show little potential for improvement. But some of the reactions provoked by this fear strike one more as scapegoating rather than an honest investigation of reality. In that vein--the recent claim made by Creative Cloud that social media is killing print media.
So my older sister, being the doin-good type, is a proud employee of Seventh Generation - a corporation I'm not ashamed to plug. Right now SevGen (get hip to the lingo) is sponsoring the "Million Baby Crawl," which means, at present, hundreds of babies are inching down from the Burlington, VT headquarters, all the way to DC. There, they'll raise some hell on the Green as they demand toxic chemical policy reform. It's a good cause, one close to any new mother's heart, and I encourage you to go support these fine young citizens.
