Like the whole of mainstream media, CNN stinks and they know it. They are aware of how their shows distort the political reality and divide the American public at a time when we desperately need unity. But they still can’t help themselves. Let’s just turn them all off.

A long-simmering wiretap scandal involving Murdoch publications, high-ranking Tories, wiretapped royals, and allegedly bought-off/stitched-up Metropolitan Police, has finally been busted wide open — not because of Scotland Yard legwork, but because of lawsuits filed by some of the victims of the wiretapping.

At a recent conference, The New York Times‘ publisher and chairman Arthur Sulzberger, Jr., stated that he eventually expects the “Gray Lady” will no longer be a physical newspaper.

GOP, you wanted to gin up the bigot base of your party? Well, you got your wish. A man hailed cab at 24th Street in Manhattan and asked the cabby if he was a Muslim. When the cabby responded in the affirmative, the man slashed him in the throat, hand, upper arm and lips.

For a lot of reasons it makes all the sense in the world to start a movement now to Ban Glenn Beck from Ground Zero. I hope you’ll join me. So, if you see him anywhere around there, tell him to “Get! Get!”

Got a slow news day? Yell “Shark!” Or “Mosque!” Take your pick of manufactured controversies if you’re corporate media like News Corp.’s Fox News.

Another example of what’s horrifyingly wrong with our elite media institutions, particularly the Washington Post.

It’s easier, cheaper and faster for Politico and its contributors to make a couple of phone calls and gin up something inflammatory, rather than go through the exercise of calculating all total costs to stakeholders for this particular story.

In other words, hackery pays.

FOX and Breitbart’s response to the NAACP’s, USDA’s and the White House’s falling for their smear of Shirley Sherrod is essentially what Eric “Otter” Stratton told Kent “Flounder” Dorfman in Animal House: “You f—ed up! You trusted us!”

Why is the Post bending over backwards to paint the Tea Party in the best possible light, ignoring evidence to the contrary?
