The late Mary Travers once sang a song called “Where Have All the Flowers Gone? It was a lamentation about the human cost of war and it was a popular protest song during the Vietnam era. Well it seems to me that someone could write a song, or at least ask the same question, about Libertarians. Specifically, where have all the Libertarians gone?

When the wingers stand up on the floor and declare that the ‘people have spoken’, they show their complete deafness. The people chose this president, not them. They are hard at work against the people’s interests, the people’s voice, and the people’s elected president.
When the U.S. people speak, their voice is being shut out by right wingers intent on working to defeat the public interest.

So, uh, what happened to make us embrace that idea that was so radical before the 2008 elections? If radical is now okay, let’s do a truly radical rewrite of the tax code.

The final, certified vote tallies for the November 4 election were released on Saturday and the margin of victory for Proposition 8 increased slightly statewide in total number of votes to nearly 600k, with the Yes side exceeding 7 million votes for discrimination. In LA County the margin of victory of Prop 8 is down to a mere 2385 votes–50.04% to 49.96%)!
