Those now in power in the Obama administration are the heirs of the former Rockefeller Republicans who were ousted from the Republican Party by the extreme religious zealots who now dominate it. The fiscally corporatist but socially liberal Rockefeller Republicans (now Obama Republicans) have, under the rubric of the DLC, hi-jacked the Democratic Party. Time to restore real Democrats and real democratic values to power: real jobs and health care for real people, not endless corporate profits.
