West Texas is a windy, open place, known for empty space more than anything else. Out there in wind farm territory, one of its best known residents, Boone Pickens, has been tossed right off of his plan for making energy out of the winds. In his latest announced plan, natural gas is Pickens’ newest alternative energy source, replacing the wind farms he was touting just last year.
