At the June 26, 2010 National Town Hall meeting in 19 cities and web with 3500 attendees on reducing the US deficit in the year 2025 67 percent of attendees chose to gradually raise the Social Security payroll tax from 12.4 to either 13.4 or 14.4 percent by 2025.
