New York Democrat Charlie Rangel didn’t like the tenor or tone of Young Master Russert’s questions today about his tax returns and loss of the Chairmanship of the Ways and Means Committee. It sounds to me like Rangel knows perfectly well how Luke Russert got his job — “Luke, I’m your father: make them hire you!”

Oedipus Russert needs to understand that everyone who deals with him knows he didn’t get his job on merit, but based on the grief of hiring executives who loved Medium Russ. It’s affirmative action for the connected, the legated, and the wealthy and cossetted. No one respects Luke Russert for his journamalism skills except Cougar Greenspan who gets excited talking with him on-air.

It was a prime example of how the Villagers can’t stand the left and love their precious friends.

Appearing with Andrea Mitchell today, United States Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL) says that further leakage may require more military involvement than the Coast Guard can provide. He also makes news: there are reports that oil is seeping up from the seabed due to the casing below the wellhead being pierced.

BP executive Bob Dudley said that scientists’ estimates that millions of gallons of oil are leaking into the Gulf of Mexico are doing more harm to local economies than the oil in the water.

Don’t you wonder who named the TEA citizenship-stripping bill, Joe Lieberman or his co-sponsor Scott Brown?

This morning, Michael Shear and Ceci Connolly at WaPo, with contributions from Anne Kornblut and Lori Montgomery, tried to get us to believe that the Administration was taken by surprise by progressives’ insistence on a viable PO being included in the Health Care Reform bill. This is an interpretation beyond naive, and also beyond imagination, since it assumes that this White House has no one monitoring the netroots and the blogosphere. Who do they think they’re writing about, George Bush? I think this WaPo piece communicates clearly the following messages.
