I was just going to write about how we should rally the troops to fight for strong progressives (as I did in this video), when Obama dragged me back into the fight between real progressives and the Obama administration. As Al Pacino said in Godfather III, every time I think I’m done with it, he keeps pulling me back in.

Bernie Sanders appeared on Dylan Ratigan’s show yesterday talking about Elizabeth Warren’s appointment. Towards the end of his interview, he said a few words about his opposition to extending the Bush Tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans. His proposal was to end the tax breaks the high income people, take the $700 Billion freed up, spend $350 Billion on sorely needed infrastructure projects, creating millions of jobs over a 10 year period and taking the other $350 million in savings and applying it to deficit reduction. So, Bernie’s heart is in the right place but he really doesn’t get the economics of it.

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs became the spokesperson for Obama Administration contempt toward the left on Tuesday. The display of contempt came in the midst of a nearly 70 percent shift in Wall Street executive donations from Democratic candidates to Republican candidates ahead of the November mid-term elections.

The Senate once again came up short trying to overcome a Republican filibuster of a jobs and state budget relief bill. And once again this insane obstruction was aided and abetted by Ben (Bad) Nelson, Joe Lieberman and Maine’s Senators Snowe and Collins, who continue to be misidentified as “moderates.”

A week and half ago, the Senate took up the Bank reform act called the Kaufman-Brown SAFE amendment which would have broken up the monopoly of the largest banks.
MSNBC commentator Dylan Ratigan called out the Senators who voted against this bill and berated them as belonging to the ‘Bankster’ Party.
He listed this group of Senators in an article on Huffington Post.
A few days later, one of the Senators who were on the Bankster party list was somehow mysteriously removed from Ratigan’s Huffington Post story.
What’s interesting is that this Senator is involved in a heated Primary, and the very same day as his ‘Nay’ vote, that very Senator emailed his plan to ‘reform’ Washington.
The real question here is – Does Dylan Ratigan know that his article was changed or did a Huffington post editor change it without his permission?
And what did the Senator whose name was removed know and what was his involvement?
