FOX and Breitbart’s response to the NAACP’s, USDA’s and the White House’s falling for their smear of Shirley Sherrod is essentially what Eric “Otter” Stratton told Kent “Flounder” Dorfman in Animal House: “You f—ed up! You trusted us!”

More Republican officeholders are retiring or running for other offices than are Democratic ones, but the GOP/Media Complex only focuses on the Democrats. The latest case in point: Indiana’s Steve Buyer, retiring days after his Frontier Foundation was embroiled in financial scandal.

While the GOP/Media clowns were babbling about bowing, US President Barack Obama and Chinese President Hu Jintao were hammering out a climate-change deal in advance of the great Copenhagen climate summit. Oh, and India’s in on the deal, too.

The legacy media’s coverage of Obama’s Asian tour has been driven by Republican talking points. As a result, the good news about climate-change agreements has been swept under the rug.

NPR, CBS, and the rest of the Traditional Media are busy pretending that OMG OMG THAT DAMN BLACK GUY OBAMA JUST GAVE POLAND TO RUSSIA!!! Except that he in fact has made Poland safer, and a plurality of Poles apparently know this.

People are discussing how to best honor the late great Teddy Kennedy, and the first thought is to do what he would have wanted us to do — which is to memorialize him by getting meaningful health care reform passed and made into law. But that’s not allowed for Democrats. Remember the ginned-up real-time media outrage over five minutes of remarks during Paul Wellstone’s Williams Arena memorial event in 2002? Remember also when, a few short weeks later when Strom Thurmond had his 100th birthday party, the media did NOT stage a real-time freakout over partisanship when Thurmond’s birthday party was not only turned into a GOP campaign ad, but into praise for Thurmond’s deeply racist career?
