I view Dump Obama as a short term strategy that is begging to be expanded beyond the next 2 years, and needs to be additionally infused with wise long-term voting strategies. Dump Obama has also been criticized as too alienating to black voters, but consideration of the long-term and state-wide voting strategies that I indicate, makes it impossible to impute any negative racial motive to such an enhanced Dump Obama Movement. The author is all for aggressive voting by disgruntled Dems, but wishes that it be wisely focussed and organized.

One of the most recent incidents is the arrest of California gubernatorial candidate Laura Wells.

Illinois Green Party gubernatorial candidate Rich Whitney is asking supporters to take action to get him into two debates that debate sponsors are threatening to exclude him from. Whitney received over 10% of the vote for governor in 2006, establishing the Green Party as a major party in Illinois. He is an excellent, well-spoken candidate with a comprehensive platform to fix the Illinois budget and ensure that everyone in Illinois has access to quality jobs, education, and healthcare.

The Green Party candidate for governor of California, Laura Wells, was arrested Tuesday night after trying to attend the California gubernatorial debate between Jerry Brown and Meg Whitman. Wells had been barred from participating in the event, which was billed as an “eco-friendly debate” by sponsors.
