New York Green Party gubernatorial candidate Howie Hawkins put out a release Sept. 28th that covered the NY governor’s race and his Green New Deal proposal as well as the Middle East resource wars, the FBI raids on peace activists, and the One Nation Working Together rally.

To working people: there is a national political party willing to fight for you. To the Democratic Party: if you don’t deliver the goods, you’ll lose more and more labor support to independent progressives.

On May 15th, the Green Party of New York nominated peace/labor/environmental activist Howie Hawkins for Governor, civil rights activist Colia Clark and environmental health advocate Cecile Lawrence for US Senate, as well as Gloria Mattera for Lt. Governor and Julia Willebrand for Comptroller.

Howie Hawkins of Syracuse, an organizer in movements for peace, justice, labor, the environment, and independent politics since the late 1960s, announced his campaign for Governor of New York as a Green Party candidate in an Albany press conference on May 4th.
