Missouri Must Have Money to Burn

By: Wednesday August 4, 2010 1:01 pm

Missouri voters passed Proposition C, seeking to exempt Missourians from the individual mandate of the health insurance reform recently passed, and also the employer mandate. But if Missouri wants to nullify a federal law — what a quaint, pre-civil war notion — they’re going to have to defend it in court.

Fortunately, Missouri has plenty of money in the state coffers to waste it on a frivolous lawsuit.

Or, you know, not.

Progressive Change Campaign Committee Pissing in the Wind

By: Wednesday December 30, 2009 11:03 am

Huffington post has a story about PCCC targeting 4 progressive Senators to fillibuster the final health care bill if it does not include a public option. I don’t understand why they believe that this strategy will lead to real results. These Senators folded the first time around, why do you believe they will all of a sudden draw a line in the sand? I am not sure what kind of Christmas turkey that PCCC believes these Senators had over the holiday, but whatever its fortified with I doubt its enough to let them grow that kind of cojones over such a short time span.
