The stress-related hormone cortisol can be incorporated into hair and may serve as record of a person’s level of stress over a period of time. Would Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s beard be able to tell us if his treatment conditions have been different under the Bush and Obama administratons?

Iran has convicted American-born journalist Roxana Saberi of espionage, using a confession that was allegedly extorted from her by a false promise of freedom. The United States of America, leader and moral arbiter of the world’s nations, waterboarded Khalid Sheikh Mohammed 183 times in one month in order to get him to say whatever his captors wanted him to say despite clear evidence that any such confessions would be false. People opposed to torture are stating statistist, not the life stories of actually victem’s of torture who had or are havinging thier lifes even sanity discomboberated.
