25 countries including many NATO members allow gays and lesbians to openly serve in the military. We must end a policy which forces men and women to lie so they can continue to “honorably” serve our country.

No, really, this isn’t an April Fool. Today is Rachel Maddow’s birthday. Regardless of your opinion of her brand of commentary and journalism — and I think pretty highly of her — at least recognize her as a pioneering lesbian cable news host.
