Denied Without Comment: CA High Court Says State Officials Needn’t Defend Prop 8

By: Teddy Partridge Thursday September 9, 2010 1:24 pm

In a ruling that dooms the efforts of the Prop h8 proponents to get California’s Attorney General to defend Proposition 8 in federal court, or get the Governator to make AG Brown defend it in federal court, the California Supreme Court on Wednesday denied without comment the appeal of the Pacific Justice Institute from the local court’s decision that state officials cannot be forced to defend laws they choose not to defend.

The Mormon “Hummer Mom” California Children Really Needed Protection From

By: Teddy Partridge Monday August 23, 2010 7:46 pm

The rotten image of the suburban hootchie ma — and by ma, I mean “Hummer Mom” as the lads called her in Livermore — has reached its apotheosis, if you will, in the tawdry and torrid tale of Christine Shreeve Hubbs. It’s as if she became a rite of passage for these teen boys, as they passed her contact information along to younger teammates and brothers as their need became, um, acute.

Why do we let Mormon wives move in next door? And America is worried about married gays and lesbians in on-base housing? What about precious offspring whose lives have been ruined by this heterosexual monster?

How Obama Can Win Utah (Without a 20% National Victory)

Democratic candidates in Utah must feel as if they’re facing an impossible task. The state is often considered the most far-right Republican stronghold in the United States. Winning Utah is akin to slaying a mighty dragon with only a bow as one’s chosen weapon.

Like all dragons, however, Utah has a weak spot. The year 2012 may be a ripe time for Obama to shoot an arrow through it.

Mormons Seem To Embrace Torture (I wonder if they like spiked heels too?)

By: DeadLast Sunday April 19, 2009 1:26 am

It is not just Jay Bybee, the Federal Judge who has a hard-on for torture, Mormons wrote the CIA manual on how to do it. What is up with the Mormons? Closet sadists?

Excommunicate (Dis)Honorable Judge Jay Bybee, 9th Circuit of Appeals

Bybee’s Mormon Church excommunicates people for being gay and will spend millions defeating Prop. 8, but will they excommunicate him for being a war criminal?

Are Mormons Christians? Focus on the Family Says Mitt Romney Says “Mormonism Is Not A Christian Faith”

By: Teddy Partridge Wednesday December 31, 2008 3:28 pm

This might indicate a little schism in the Prop 8 alliance: the senior vice president of James Dobson’s Focus on the Family claims that Mitt Romney “has acknowledged that Mormonism is not a Christian faith.”
