It is a real drag to lose a hard fought political battle. However, it is not always the end. The loss in Maine shows we need to stop fighting State by State and take this to the Supreme Court as a Fourteenth Amendment issue.

One of the reasons the blogosphere has grown up is a frustration with the reporting of the traditional media. Tonight will be a great example of why folks are frustrated.

So there is some talk this afternoon of a recount in New Jersey’s gubernatorial race. That is ironic, because a meaningful recount in New Jersey is impossible.

Today is the final push for No On 1. It can be won, but to make sure we have to get the vote out. Please, take an hour to make a difference for equality. Do it for the citizens of Maine, do it for your gay neighbors, do it for yourself, do it for future generations who will scratch their heads that we ever prevented gay citizens from marrying, but do it now!

Listen carefully — I think they like us!

Things are starting to look good for defeating the voters veto of the Maine marriage equality legislation. Still it is not a time to rest on our laurels, there is phone banking to be done!

The No on 1 Campaign knows where the voters are and who they are. They need to contact them all and remind them to vote if they are going to win. Please take the time to help!
