With the growing anti-Islam fervor that has been ratcheting up as a result of people trying to stop a “Ground Zero Mosque” from being built, I wanted to address the people who are trying to confront those who are making this country more dangerous and who are endangering this country’s national security by writing a recruiting script for right wing fundamentalists or Islamists.

I have just written about how and why West Side Story needs to be viewed on a great big, wide screen, in a real movie theatre, with the lights down low, and my willingness to occasionally make road trips to neighboring states to do so. New Orleans It’s a small sample, but the Virginia bellwether and the deeply blue state New Jersey went hard Republican and in Jersey tossed a Democratic governor looking for a second shot. Across the river, New York City voters surprised the chattering political classes by almost moving Mayor Bloomberg to his next career as a philanthropist and out of his current posting as a semi-politician. A couple of thoughts crossed my mind.
