I seek a person who considers themself an aggressive organizer to find people who will get other people to send emails to conservative contributors in order to obtain progressive legislation.

That Americans are not supportive of progressivism is largely a conjured up fear to excuse a failure to advance a progressive agenda and win support from Democratic Party leaders for progressive change. The American people support progressive ideas. They just need real progressive leadership that, independently from Democratic Party interests, promotes a vision and future where these progressive ideas are indeed viable and practical.

Each year, for the past five years, members of what has become known as the “netroots” have come together for an annual convention known as Netroots Nation to participate in a forum for progressive activists and candidates to strengthen communities online and grow the progressive movement. As the first Pro-Choice candidate in the MI-05 primary in 34 years, I am often asked why I am fighting so hard to defend a woman’s rights. The article today on Politico.com entitled, “Predicting an end to Roe v. Wade” is why I am running against a long-time, never-been-challenged Anti-Choice democrat. The reality of this landmark personal privacy issue being overturned infuriates me.
