After their basic hitjobs on the Connecticut Attorney General, it’s time for both “The Old Grey Lady” and the Tweety bird to apologize to Richard Blumenthal pronto.

Connecticut Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said documents reviewed by his office show that American International Group Inc. paid out $218 million in bonuses, more than the $165 million previously disclosed. Mr. Blumenthal says the documents show that 73 people received at least $1 million apiece, and five of those received bonuses of more than $4 million. The office received the documents late Friday after issuing a subpoena.
