Quick question. Why hasn’t conservative media ripped Tim Geithner’s face off yet? He is by far the most incompetent and compromised (nicer than corrupt) member of the Obama administration. There is a mountain of evidence that he has helped his banker friends at the expense of American taxpayers over and over again. He is the Treasury Secretary when the main issue in the country is the state of our economy. And even some Republicans in Congress have gone after him. So, why is Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, etc. keeping their powder dry?

Now is the time to write a couple of News Corp Institutional Investors and ask them if they are fine with Rupert’s strategy of losing money on Glenn Beck and setting up the network for possibly losing broadcast licenses because of their incitement of violence.

I think the time has come for the right wing media to pay the financial price for their slander. It would send a message, and financial messages are the only ones the right-wing media hear. We can say it’s not about the money, it’s the principle, but it’s really about the money. When someone files one or more, we can help the process by challenging the conventional wisdom that every one is fair game for right-wing media. We can also challenge the main stream media to cut the right-wing media loose and suggest they stop defending them as if they were journalists.

No longer getting their talking points from Karl Rove, and their independent thought in severe atrophy, the right-wing media is bracing itself for a liberal offensive that’s not coming. And they’re starting to attack their own shadow.
