Zenophobia is ugly and it produces irrational behavior toward fellow beings, too often with tragic consequences. Out leaders would serve their countries better by inspiring us toward better behavior instead of falling in with the goose steppers that thrive on bad feelings and the rabble they produce.

Last night, Anderson Cooper treated Rep. Louie Gohmert to questions that assumed the congressman would have solid information to go with his accusations. These assumptions were wrong, as the video shows.

All indications that the campaign to take over America is on, and there is nothing too stupid for the right to use in driving its voters over the cliff. Now it’s the accusation that terrorist babies are being bred for the U.S. maternity market.

With these irresponsible leaders operating against the democratically elected, constitutional, government, the country is in grave danger. Our founders put in obstacles to any demagogue taking control after election, inside the bodies of government. The growing crisis caused by mass ignorance led on by conscienceless bigots who only strive for more power and control, however, has not been envisioned or headed off by those founders.

It’s a given that the right wing will continue to hammer on the theme of giving the economy jobs, confident that the total loss of jobs by their own office holders will not diminish the value of that hammering. The economy is desperate for jobs, while the administration from Hell wiped them out to the point that it will take many years to get back to the level of prosperity that preceded it.

Hearing the continuous rant about the Mainstream of political thought in the U.S. that the right wing is spewing during the lead-up to demonization of the latest Supreme Court nomination from a president elected by that mainstream is diverting. Not surprisingly, the right wing in Texas has chosen a platform that will make the Party of Nope very much against democratic elections, particularly the sort that put President Obama in office. As part and parcel of the teabaggers, the right wing has chosen to attack the results of popular election. There is no dividing line between the party that has lost and the party that stands to fight against public interests.

Counterinsurgency doctrine is the symptom of an idea more primeval and dangerous: violence is the solution.

The outright childishness of the right has been their major feature for some time. Finding that they can use the rules of order to deny the public any effort on their behalf, they have leapt into the fray to make everything as hard as it can be in getting any business done.

This should be a fun right wing pie fight: (Politico via Accountable America)
The Politico reports that the Christian Coalition is objecting to billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson’s smear group Freedom’s Watch. They write:
The Christian Coalition takes issue with Adelson, who made billions — he’s the country’s fifteenth-richest man, according to this year’s Forbes 400 list — in the casino business, with properties in Las Vegas and Macau.
