There has been fraud in the creation of RMBS, fraud in the collection of mortgage payments, and fraud in foreclosure to cover up the first two frauds. This is not “sloppiness” and it can’t be fixed with contract law.

States Attorneys General need to be less concerned with investments based on RMBS and more focused on orderly cramdown mortgages with good faith mortgage modifications.
