Reporting on the despicable Rush Limbaugh wedding, People magazine mischaracterized the wedding singer, Million-Dollar Elton John, as an “outspoken gay-marriage advocate.” Sir Elton, who’ll apparently sing in front of roomful of bigots anywhere if the price is right, is far from a proponent of marriage equality.

Nevermind the ridiculous premise that respondents are asked to choose in a hypothetical race without any context or actual campaigning. Just doing a poll more than 2.5 years before the actual election is meaningless. Even polls that are done much sooner usually end up being way off the mark.
