Michael Hayden’s attempt to point out the possible costs to spy agencies in particular and society in general in print falls flat for me. I simply consider his article another attempt by the right to besmirch what he calls “the partisan beast” and invoke the fear factor once again.

Glenn Beck today used a breaking story to crank up the fear-and-ratings-o-matic. Meanwhile, a Stockton, California, citizen vowed to start a militia to patrol his streets. Such are unfortunately-related unrelated events.

A huge GOP cadre of criminals of every description are about to walk off into blissful retirement sunset. If they are allowed to leave this colossal crime-wave behind without consequence then there is no justice.
