We need some radical new thinking to achieve new jobs, start new businesses, and develop a strong economy. Let’s eliminate the Corporate Income Tax and Substitute a 100% Duty on all Imported Consumer Goods.

The bailout did not stop layoffs or facility closings, did not increase sales volume, and Chrysler is still controlled by a foreign corporation (Fiat), in short the bailout was ineffective. This note suggests an alternative approach.

During last month’s State of the Union, President Obama unveiled a bold new push to double exports. The plan is indeed bold and could create up to 2 million jobs if implemented in the right circumstances. It’s estimated that it could double export sales pushing them over $3 trillion annually.

However the plan has run into a big barrier – the economy. As the Washington Post points out:
