On March 4th, 2009, when the International Criminal Court issued the arrest warrant for Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir, over 400 local Darfuri refugees living in Israel rallied in support of this decision.

Genocide survivors from Darfur and five other civilian slaughters are uniting with each other and advocates to observe Genocide Prevention Month in April 2009. Genocide Prevention Month will kick off at the beginning of April with an online sneak preview of the upcoming documentary feature, The Last Survivor.
